CDL uses 4-axis milling and 5-axis indexed milling to rapidly cut a choice of more than 30 engineering-grade thermoplastics and metals into complex shapes and precision components. This process is suitable for matching a wide range of materials.

Turning
CDL uses turning to make cylindrical parts, where the cutting tool moves in a linear fashion while the work piece rotates. High specification CNC lathes are designed for the production of short or long batch runs, enabling high quality delivery, with short lead times and lower costs. CDL runs 3, 4 and 5 axis machines that are capable of producing a wide range of component sizes and geometries and processing materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, mild and alloy steels, copper alloys, brass, and bronzes, providing one-off prototypes through to high volume batches.
