Who we are
The core competency of CDL Precision Engineering GmbH is CNC-controlled machining for turning and milling processes. Its modern factory occupies 6,000 sqm and houses more than 30 modern machining centres, serving a wide range of national and international clients across many industrial sectors, with a strong focus on railway, defence, industrial goods and medical technology. The company prides itself on being customer focused and on building long term partnerships, tirelessly working on delivering cost effective parts and assembly solutions.

CDL is more than a precision CNC machining company. Over the years CDL has built up deep expertise and reliable networks in sourcing of casts and value-added surface treatments making CDL the perfect one stop solutions partner to provide ready to install parts and part assemblies, dramatically reducing sourcing costs for its clients.

In addition, CDL has focused on developing its prototyping capabilities, which engage with the clients’ design teams to optimise the design for machining efficiency to meet cost targets. Working to tight deadlines is part of the firm’s DNA, enabled by an entrepreneurial family business culture.

Highest Quality Standards
CDL’s quality control systems operate in strict compliance with ISO9001 and HPQ standards for Railway components. In addition, the company is in the process of becoming certified for IATF 16949 and IRIS. CDL’s advanced technology enabling just-in-time production and robust in-house quality assurance procedures have made CDL the first choice for many companies requiring finished parts ready for assembly oftentimes at a short notice and without the need for external inspection. The Team
CDL’s team includes more than 70 highly skilled engineers, CNC machine operators and office staff. The wide knowledge and skills the team possesses cover the full spectrum of engineering disciplines, enables CDL to consistently deliver CNC products and services to the highest possible standard.
Dr. Karsten Hoyndorff
CEO
Mr. Hoyndorff assumed the leadership of CDL in 2023. Throughout his professional career, he has gained extensive experience in management positions within manufacturing companies. Most recently, he held a position as a member of the executive management team at an internationally operating machinery company and was also responsible for a subsidiary.
Johannes Göris
Senior Sales Manager
Mr. Göris joined CDL in 2015 from a leading European foundry. In his capacity of Senior Sales Manager, he focuses primarily on the railway sector, where CDL holds a market leading position. Johannes is also responsible for the relationships with the foundries and sourcing of casts. He holds an engineering degree in foundry technology and is a specialist in sand casting.
Sebastian Witter
Business Development Manager
Mr. Witter is a state-certified business economist with industry experience in the steel and casting industries. He is a specialist in investment casting and at CDL he is responsible for building and strengthening customer partnerships and business development.
Hans Vannumissen
Quality Assurance Manager
Mr. Vannumissen has been with CDL since its early days in 2002 and is responsible for all quality management and assurance processes. He is a certified toolmaker and internal auditor, and with decades of experience in quality management, he implemented and certified the ISO 9001 standard at CDL.
Georg Wollensack
Head of Production
Since 2007, Mr. Wollensack is in charge of machining and oversees all aspects of production management and apprentice training. Georg received training in cutting machine operations, specialising in turning technology.
Angela Funken
Financial Controller
Mrs. Funken has been with CDL since it was founded in 2002. Angela oversees the company’s financial control, accounting and accounts receivable management. She trained as a wholesale trade clerk and accountant.
Andreas Carmanns
Logistics Manager
Mr. Carmanns started with CDL in 2002 and is responsible for the management, control and optimisation of material flows. He manages purchase orders and is in charge of creating new sales orders and overseeing production control and is our Allrounder.
Elsbeth Esser
Logistics Manager
Mrs. Esser joined CDL in 2017 and is responsible for the management, control and optimisation of material flows. She manages purchase orders and is in charge of creating new sales orders and overseeing production control.

Management and Sales Assistant
